Menu Photography for Restaurants in Dubai: 20 Photos in 1 Hour

Professional menu photography for your restaurant in Dubai starts at AED 699 for a one-hour shoot, delivering 20 edited, colour-graded photos. This service is ideal for cafes, diners, and restaurants across the UAE looking to showcase their dishes with high-quality visuals for online menus, delivery apps, and social media in areas like Jumeirah or Business Bay.

Good food photography helps customers decide what to order. It also sets expectations for what they'll receive, which is especially important for delivery services where the customer doesn't see the dish until it arrives. A well-lit, appetising photo can significantly impact your online engagement and sales.

How long does menu photography take?

Most menu photography shoots for a standard restaurant menu can be completed within two to four hours, depending on the number of dishes. A one-hour session, priced at AED 699, is suitable for a small cafe with a few signature items, providing 20 finished photos. For a more extensive menu, a two-hour shoot at AED 899 delivers 35 photos, while a three-hour session for AED 1299 yields 45 photos.

For larger establishments or those with many dishes, a half-day (four-hour) booking at AED 1700 provides 60 photos, and a full-day (eight-hour) shoot at AED 3000 includes 100 photos. These longer sessions allow for more complex setups, different angles, and styling for a wider range of menu items. It's always best to have your dishes prepared and ready to photograph to maximise the time on site.

What should I prepare for a menu photoshoot?

Before your photographer arrives at your restaurant in areas like Downtown Dubai or Al Barsha, ensure all dishes are prepped and ready to be plated. Having a clear list of the items you want photographed, in order, will streamline the process. Consider the garnishes and plating you use for customers; the photos should reflect what they will actually receive.

Good lighting is crucial. If your restaurant has natural light, we can often use it to create bright, appealing images. Otherwise, the photographer will bring their own lighting equipment. Make sure there's a clean, uncluttered space available for the shoot, ideally near a window if natural light is an option. If you're shooting in a busy kitchen or dining area, be aware of the operational flow to avoid disruptions. For locations outside Dubai, such as Sharjah or Abu Dhabi, a travel fee of AED 150 or AED 300 respectively will apply.

What if I need video for my menu too?

Many restaurants now include short video clips of their dishes for social media and online platforms. We offer combined photography and videography packages starting from AED 1199 for two hours. This includes both edited photos and a 30-second video clip. A three-hour combined shoot is AED 1699, a half-day is AED 2200, and a full day is AED 4200.

These video clips are excellent for showing the texture, steam, or sizzle of a dish, bringing it to life in a way still photos cannot. You'll receive one round of revisions on photos and up to two rounds for video edits. If you need additional 30-second edited video clips beyond what your booking includes, each extra clip costs AED 249.
